"Ranma?" Akane called as the two of them walked home from school. As usual, he was walking on the fence above her. He had his hands behind his head, idly watching the sky. He seemed kind of retrospective today, which was nice for a change. He blinked, then looked down at her.

"Huh? Yeah, Akane?" He asked blandly. At least he hadn't been trying to pick a fight.

"Be on your toes when we get home, okay? Our fathers are up to something." She warned.

"Okay. Thanks."

They walked in silence for a little while, then Ranma spoke up.

"Hey, Akane?"

"Yeah?"

"How is it that you always know this sort of thing?" He puzzled.

"Well, the show's not named after you, now is it?" She replied sweetly. She wasn't about to tell him that Kasumi sometimes warned her about what the fathers were up to.

"Oh." Ranma fell silent again, watching the sky again. After a while, she could hear him humming a song.

"Yappa yappa... Ranma, Ranma... Don't you make me wild... like... you..." Realization was slow to dawn.

He suddenly looked down at her. "WAIT-A-MINUTE!!!"
